The Weymouth Conservation Commission has continued the public hearing on the application of Algonquin Gas Transmission, LLC for a Notice of Intent to construct a natural gas compressor station as part of the Atlantic Bridge Project to Wednesday, May 25, 2016. The public meeting is currently scheduled for 6:00 p.m. (location to be determined). The final agenda (with location) will be posted on the town website no later than 48 hours prior to the meeting, and once confirmed the Commission will include meeting information on its outgoing voicemail message (781-340-5007) and on this webpage. WETC is planning to tape the meeting.
The public hearing was continued for additional information, and the Commission's primary focus at the meeting will be to discuss the response to its information request. Discussion will be limited to issues relevant to the state Wetlands Protection Act and the Weymouth Wetlands Protection Ordinance.

The Notice of Intent has been filed under the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act (MGL chapter 131, section 40) and the Weymouth Wetlands Protection Ordinance (Weymouth Code of Ordinances, section 7-301). The proposed project is located on Bridge Street on the parcel shown as Assessor's Map 6, Block 63, Lot 1. The subject land is located within Designated Port Area and portions of the work are located within Land Subject to Coastal Storm Flowage, Riverfront Area, and Buffer Zone to Coastal Bank and Coastal Beach.
